The A-Z of Global Warming By Simon Rosser The phrase global warming is a term that has been in common usage for some time and usually refers to recent warming of Earth’s atmosphere, which also implies a manmade or human influence. Each chapter of this book deals with an aspect of it. Starting with A for Amazon, the book takes the reader an A-Z journey through global warming, with each chapter dealing with a specific point on the issue of climate change and global warming. Biofuels are looked at, Carbon Dioxide, Electric Vehicles through to Weather, Xtinction, You Can Help and finally Zero Hour.... The book is illustrated throughout to assist in the simplification of this complex subject matter. 10% of authors net sale proceeds will be divided between 4 global warming related organisations, to include The Alliance for Climate Protection, WWF, Global Cool, and Pure the Clean Planet Trust. "This is an excellent, witty and imaginative book that looks at climate change through the lens of simplicity without the jargon and scientific detail which so often dogs this subject. It has a humour and tongue in cheek approach which highlights both the importance of the subject, but the need to engage the reader and not fill him or her with a hopeless sense of guilt. Enjoy!" A Badge Without Blemish Avoiding Police Corruption By Edward S. Brown III A Badge Without Blemish: Avoiding Police Corruption gives the community at large an insider's view into the world's toughest profession - law enforcement. Mr. Brown doesn't hold back as he details incidents of corruption, substance abuse and domestic violence from those sworn "To serve and protect". This 57-page personal reflection on 8 years of service as a police officer, gives the community and law enforcement officials everything it needs to combat the growing wave of negativity associated with law enforcement. According to Mr. Brown, "The greatest challenge facing law enforcement is not technology, changing times, nor innovation in police procedures. The greatest challenge facing law enforcement agencies is how to resurrect the enthusiasm in officers they once shared before graduating from the academy." Policing affects all of us - If you think this book isn't for you, think again!

Biological, Chemical, and Nuclear Warfare
What makes the difference between a poison killing you or healing you, he shows, is its dose. Based on an obscure but well-proven phenomenon in toxicology – hormesis – and, the most mysterious medical specialty ever – homeopathy, this doctor has prescribed just the right (digital) medicine. This particular prescription is tailored for these turbulent times when terrorist attacks with weapons of mass destruction seem inevitable. Its principle can also be applied against any environmental toxin or "plague," as SARS. The prescription reads: the very basis of homeopathy and hormesis – low doses or poisons are c-u-r-a-t-i-v-e and instructs how to make them yourself. This book is unique also because unlike others, it teaches the public how to address all of the main aspects of the problem and in a rather original way. 1. Prophylaxis before and 2. Therapeutic measures during or after the exposure and 3. When a person actually fell ill. Homeopathic digital vaccines are based on the well-known principle in physics that every substance in nature (including means of mass destruction) represents matter-energy duality. The energetic aspect is more fundamental as it actually shapes and determines physical properties. Homeopathic remedies extract the energetic aspect of poisons which then spring our immune and detoxifying systems into action against the corresponding specific poisons. All you need is a sample of an agent, whether it be in the air, water, clothing or body fluids. The book also edifies in the rich history of homeopathy in the U.S. and of the numerous celebrities around the world who have been its most ardent supporters. To name just a few: Prince Charles and Great Britain’s Royal Family, Goethe, Charles Dickens, Pope Pius X, Mahatma Gandhi, Mother Teresa, Mark Twain, Daniel Webster, Thomas Edison, John D. Rockefeller, Sr., Hollywood’s Jack Nicholson, Suzanne Somers and other stars. Dr. Yurkovsky received his MD degree from II Moscow State Medical Institute in the former USSR in 1975. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency and Fellowship in Cardiovascular Medicine at Coney Island Hospital of Downstate Medical School, Brooklyn, New York, and is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. He is a former or current member of many professional organizations, including the American College of Advancement in Medicine (ACAM), American Institute of Homeopathy, and he a founding director along with Dr. Robert Atkins and other alternative physicians of Foundation for the Advancement of Innovative Medicine (FAIM) in New York.

End of an Exile The Jews and the Gentile World By James Parkes, Edited by Eugene Korn and Roberta Kalechofsky If historical amnesia is a problem besetting the modern world, the work of James Parkes is one of the best antidotes in the fields of Christian-Jewish relations and the omnipresent quandary in the Middle East. He began his scholarly life with the monumental work, The Conflict of the Church and the Synagogue, first published in1934, which helped set the groundwork for Christian-Jewish relations in the twentieth century. Parkes was an Anglican minister, with extensive knowledge of Jewish history. He was the second Gentile to become president of the prestigious London Jewish Historical Society. End of An Exile is a major contribution to understanding the Middle East by a Christian theologian who was a first-rate historian. After the establishment of Israel in 1948, Parkes traveled to the Middle East and issued several books on the problems between Arabs and Jews: The History of Palestine; Whose Land?: A History of the Peoples of Palestine; and End of An Exile: Israel, The Jews, and The Gentile World. First published in 1954, Micah Publications reissued it in 1982, with an appendix containing essays by leading theologians. This third edition is further enhanced by four additional essays by leading contemporary religious thinkers. The new publication is also a response to today’s anti-Israel animosity. The book is a classic, and the new essays broaden our knowledge of the religious problems between Jews and Palestinians, Muslims and Christians, as well as alerting us to the ominous meaning of some Palestinian Liberation Theology for both Jews and Christians. Parkes understood the Arab grievance at the Balfour Declaration, and displayed sympathy for the Palestinians, yet he was a “Christian Zionist” before the term developed its current radical religious connotation. His steady gaze into the problems of the Middle East combined theology with a knowledge of demographics, immigration patterns, and cultural norms. His affirmation of Israel’s “right to exist” is religious; his tools of analysis are sociology and history. Parkes also replaces the “either/or” relationship between Israel and the Diaspora with an interpretation of Jewish history as a dynamic dialectic between Zionism and the Jewish Diaspora. The problems in the Middle East may seem engraved in stone, unresolvable and subject to journalistic repetition, but Parkes’ analysis is as fresh and as profound as when he first wrote this book. The contributions of nine outstanding historians/theologians give End of An Exile resonance with the past and present Middle East. This title is due to be published on April 18, 2005. Energy for the Public
The purpose of this book is to inform the public about its
choices on energy issues and to help it make realistic decisions based on
knowledge of science. Energy is the most prized commodity in our society. It is
as basic to life as food and water. It generates the electricity that powers our
homes, entertainment, businesses, and industrial plants. All transportation is
dependent on energy that propels our cars, trains, airplanes, and ships. Every
action—biological, mechanical, and electrical—requires energy. This book,
therefore, has connections to every individual and object in the universe. |

The Good American
As the liberal principles upon which the nation was built give way to conservative forces bent on concentrating power in the hands of the few, this novel sketches a picture of a corporate government determined to repeal our rights, degrade our environment, silence our voices, and sacrifice our children to a new oppressive world order.
Shedding light on this dark picture is Peter Freton, a well-read young man who grew up in California and worked as a Peace Corps volunteer in Africa and a teacher in Japan. He has returned to Arizona to stay with his parents, enroll his children in school, find work, buy a house, and – unbeknownst to himself – confront the depraved values he began criticizing after the 2000 election. Peter Freton, the critical thinking instructor, criticizes the right by evoking the liberal principles of equality, fairness, liberty, open-mindedness, and freedom; his voice replete with an understanding of life and human nature is disparaged and sometimes ignored. The Good American is both intimate and global, a vivid and moving account of a young man's battle against the establishment and his discovery of what it means to be a human being.

One Person, One Vote How Changing Our Voting System Will Get Us Out of the Mess We're In By W.R. Wilkerson III Washington politicians aren't even trying to fix the mess this country is in. No matter which party they're from, all they care about is themselves—obviously, the only way to fix this country is to do it ourselves. In One Person, One Vote: How Changing Our Voting System Will Get Us Out of the Mess We're, W. R. Wilkerson III says that we need to take matters into our own hands and vote directly on issues like abortion, Iraq, immigration, taxes, guns, affirmative action and same-sex marriage.
National voting is do-it-yourself democracy that will shut up all the squabbling in Washington and put the power back where it belongs—with the people.

Third Chair, The From El Nono to radical feminism chic, a new book -- The Third Chair -- runs the contemporary pop culture gamut of newspeak, while providing a serious literary review of the failure of the professions to lead. Moving from 19th century fisticuffs to terrorized Ireland to Middle Earth in a slick display of human nature in differing milieus, the author has caught the essence of what makes us "sick" when learned leadership fails. This
book is "mandatory reading" for every concerned and intelligent
citizen. The future can be better than our recent past, but only if we
make it so. Gender wars, racial animosities, sexual abuse, and the
economics of greed can all be avoided, but only if we understand the failure
of social leadership in our own time.

Trading Away Our Future How to Fix Our Government-Driven Trade Deficits and Faulty Tax System Before it's Too Late By Raymond L. Richman, Howard B. Richman & Jesse T. Richman We are Trading Away Our Future and most economists have been caught with their heads in the sand. They think that the trade deficits are the result of free market forces. But the trade deficits are caused by foreign government currency manipulations and the foolish subsidies that the US tax system gives to foreign savings. The American People know that something is wrong. They know that the Chinese and Japanese governments manipulate their currencies to steal American industries. They are intrigued by Governor Huckabee's endorsement of the Fair Tax, a proposal that would abolish the IRS, renew American investment, Strengthen the dollar, and help solve the trade deficits. If nothing is done, then resolutely nondemocratic China will replace the United States as the world's premier power. In this book the Richmans explain solutions that are within our grasp. It is not yet too late!

We the People of Colors For sale to the Lowest Bidder By L.E. Coleman As the country remains polarized over what to do about immigration, the outsourcing of American jobs, and an education system that has gone awry, L.E. Coleman openly discusses many of these issues in hope that it will stimulate a real dialog between the races. Central to the theme of this book is the call for black and white Americans to become self aware-that is-conscious of their part in the prevailing mindsets and events of our time and to recognize how these attitudes, mindsets, and events are polarizing ethnic groups and creating even more fragmentation among the races. Thus, nothing is left to chance in this book. Coleman candidly addresses the hot topics of reparations, black on black exploitation, government exploitation of the American worker, outsourcing and in-sourcing, privatization, media manipulation, education, and much more.
